Flame retardant fabric
We HAve Flame retardant fabrics
Fabric is categorized as fire retardant cloth based on, unsurprisingly, the time it requires the cloth to burn and at what temperatures it does so. Our cloths undergo rigorous testing in independent laboratories. The cloth is then evaluated on a variety of criteria to demonstrate the strength of their flame retardant properties, so the end consumer may know exactly what they're investing in.
Tests are carried out in labs like Labotex for the rate at which the fabrics capture fire, utilizing methods such as a gas burner or gas fire, smoldering cigarette, a tiny pile of dry wood
There are also worldwide furniture criteria that measure the fire retardant properties of upholstered furniture through testing for example Britain's BS 5852. Have a look at our post 3 things you need to understand about upholstery fabric testing to get a read jam-packed with advice.
Fabric may be naturally fire retardant due to the fiber's innate properties: FR-One uses 100 percent Inherently FR Polyester for this same reason. Polyester is also simple maintenance and durable, whereas fabrics like wool could shrink after washing - which is not something you want happening on your furniture!
Besides durability and fire retardancy, our fabrics are only, well, incredibly soft. No really. We're all about that luxury feel here, combining an easy elegance with a coziness you may feel.

While a few cloths may also be treated with a fire retardant chemical that resists heat and helps to extinguishes flames, this is not the manner FR-One protects our cloths. FR-One Fire Retardant fabrics start by perfecting the fibers using Inherent Fire-Retardant characteristics (IFR), a quality that is embedded in the molecular Flame retardant fabric arrangement of the fiber and may consequently never diminish.
